Ascendio

Ascendio is a Post-Harry Potter Forum-based RPG.  We encourage our members to be creative and imaginative when making their characters and role playing on our site.  Once you become a member, Ascendio is also your site.  We want members to feel free to make suggestions and come up with sub-plots.  Those who are very active within the site will soon find themselves with leadership roles if they wish to have them.

Character possibilities are endless, especially when you are a very imaginative person.  However, to give you an idea of what sort of characters you can play here is a list:

Hogwarts Student - A Hogwarts student can also be a combination of other character ideas that you will see in this list.  Feel free to combine and mix attributes.

Examples:

Edolie Holcombe was sorted into Ravenclaw and is a very promising student.  However, this is not the first time that she has attended Hogwarts.  Edolie Holcombe was a student at Hogwarts before the school fell over five hundred years ago.  Back then, she was also a promising Ravenclaw student, but, due to some terrible events, was murdered and turned by another student (who was a vampire).  Because she refused to feed on other living beings, Edolie's body eventually found a way to get the energy that it needed to survive by absorbing energy from anything possible around it.  After leaving Hogwarts, Edolie spent her time traveling the world and helping those she could.  When she heard about Hogwarts re-opening, she decided to return.

Keir Walker is a 17 year old Gryffindor student who also happens to be an Empath and a Shape shifter (Go to shift is a male lion).  He has not yet gotten the hang of shifting, so it will happen on accident during times of stress and/or heightened emotional conflict.

René Leclerq is a 15 year old Hufflepuff student who has Limited Precognitive Dreaming; the ability to see the future through dreams - but René can only dream things pertaining to herself.

Sethrin Lewis is a 16 year old Slytherin.  One might consider Sethrin to be bio-polar with the way his moods can suddenly shift.  But he's an expert when it comes to charming almost anyone he wants.  However, stay clear of this student when the full moon looms; he is, after all, a werewolf.

Professor:  A professor can be just as diverse as any other character, however, just like any job, there is an application and interview process.  This being such and important and difficult job, there aren't many who are willing and able, so there are positions open.

Mavis Cerdwin and a few others set out to find and re-open Hogwarts so that Higher Learning could be brought to the Magical World once more.  In doing this they hope to eventually lead Wizarding kind back to their former glory.

 Hanley Lugaid

Ravenclaw Head of House

Teaches:  History of Magic Post-FOH

Hanley Lugaid came across Mavis Cerdwin when she was young and asked her to become his apprentice.  After several years of traveling with her and teaching her all he knew, Hanley told her his aspirations of locating Hogwarts, renovating the school, and re-opening it in the hopes of teaching young witches and wizards.

Demitri Urien

Potions Master

Teaches:  Potions

Urien is an old acquaintance of Hanley's and was asked to be the Potions Master at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.  Although he is crass, lazy, difficult to be around, and an alcoholic, Urien is adept at Potions Making.  It is a craft that had been taught by one generation to another before the fall of Hogwarts.  Each of his family members had built on the art of potions making so that the potions they make would be less time consuming but stronger and more efficient.
